Apprentice Production Strike Information

luv_stage01Apprentices are required to participate in six (6) out of the eleven strikes of the season. In addition, ALL APPRENTICES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FINAL STRIKE/ APPRENTICE PARTY FROM 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16. You must attend the strike on the Saturday before your Tech Sunday and following the final performance of the show you are crewing.  It is important for apprentices to honor strike assignments.  In the event of an emergency, an apprentice must contact another apprentice to “trade” strike commitments; and must contact Jena ( or (724) 272-3968).

annatropics06– Strikes take place the final Saturday of a production and last approximately one to two hours. Call time for strike is 9:15 pm

– Strike duties include transporting set pieces and props to the barn, loading in new set pieces and props to the theatre, organizing dressing rooms and costumes and assisting stage managers and production managers as needed.

Steel Magnolias- 8/18 at 9:30 pm
Little Miss Sunshine, the Musical- 9/15 at 9:30 pm
The Scottish Play- 10/6 at 9:30 pm
Sherlock Holmes and the West End Horror- 10/27 at 9:30 pm
The Lion in Winter- 11/17 at 9:30 pm
A Christmas Story, the Musical- 
12/16 at 4:30 pm (all apprentices are required to attend this strike and it will count toward your 6 required strikes).
