We are looking for male and female singers who move well to fill out the cast of this show.

They’re Playing Our Song is a unique blend of pop, broadway, and disco music, with a healthy dose of romantic comedy, as it follows the working relationship - and the dating nightmare - of the songwriting team of Sonia Walsk and Vernon Gersch.

The cast of characters for the show consists of Sonia, Vernon, and the singing, dancing voices they hear in their heads as they work and dream and fall in love…

We are casting the voices in this audition. The roles of Sonia and Vernon have been cast.

The roles of the voices are vocally more challenging than a lot of the material Sonia and Vernon have to sing (it’s true – any schmuck can sing alone, but blending and harmonizing while doing choreography takes real skill! We need six strong singers (3 men, 3 women) to make this show musically and visually crisp, exciting, colorful, fun, and joyful, so if you think you have that kind of talent, come out and play!

Note from the director: Vocal rehearsals will begin in early July for an August 14 opening. Staging rehearsals will begin around July 20. Everyone (except maybe me!) will have AT LEAST two nights off each week, and I will try to arrange the schedule based on the needs of the cast WITHIN REASON.
